1st annual Texas Hold 'em Tournament

March 20, 2010 at 2pm

at our building on Eagle Lane

Grand prize:  47" flat screen TV with surround sound system

2nd place:  Laptop Computer

3rd place:  Nintendo Wii gaming system

 

 

Limited to 125 players

 

$50 per person registration fee

The Dickson City Community Ambulance Association in conjunction with Bucks County Community College will be hosting the following continuing education classes.  All of the classes will be held at the Dickson City Community Ambulance building at 2 Eagle Ln. in Dickson City.

 

 

Hazardous Materials Awarness

Instructor: James Waters, South Abington Twp. Emergency Services

Sunday January 31, 2010 at 8:30 am

3 CEU’s will be available for this class (3 Other)

 

 

Blood-borne Pathogen, Infectious Disease and Biological Agent Review

Instructor: Greg Wolff, Dunmore Fire Department

Sunday February 21, 2010 at  9:00 am

6 CEU’s will be available for this class (2 Med-trauma and 4 Other)

 

 

Emergency Vehicle Operators Class (in conjunction with Chinchilla Hose Company)

JANUARY 6, 2010

 

Firefighters from Dickson City, Throop, and Blakely extinguished a blaze on the first floor of a dwelling in the 800 block of Main Street in Dickson City Wednesday evening.

 

  

  

 

 

DECEMBER 10, 2009

 

The members of The Dickson City Community Ambulance recently completed training on new Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices.  These important pieces of equipment have been offered to all ambulance services in Northeast Pennsylvania by the Department of Health.  Training was provided by our Medical Director, Dr. Marc Bonin.

 

     

     

 

 

OCTOBER 3, 2009

 

Congratulations to members Jeff Baron and Joseph Corcoran for successfully completing the training required to become certified as Pennsylvania Department of Health "Emergency Medical Technicians".

 

 

AUGUST 18, 2009

The members of The Dickson City Community Ambulance would like to thank Custom Concrete for donating the equipment and manpower to install an underground drainage system on the land behind our building.

 

 

AUGUST 16, 2009

The Dickson City Community Ambulance's meeting hall has recently been renovated and is available for public rental.  Our 1,000 square foot hall is suitable for birthday parties, graduations, christenings and other gatherings up to approximately 75 people.  Please call Courtney Homenchak at (570)903-3311 for details and availability.

 

   

 

 

MAY 29, 2009

The members of The Dickson City Community Ambulance would like to thank Kriger Construction for donating the equipment and manpower to clear the land behind our building. Their crew removed rocks, stumps, and brush that have been an eyesore for years.  Soon, grass will be planted to help keep this land looking great.

The members of The Dickson City Community Ambulance are pleased to announce we have recently been certified as an official training site of the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI).  This ASHI recognition certifies three of our members as instructors of basic life support courses such as first aid, and CPR.  If you or your organization is interested in a class, please contact our CPR coordinator at: training@dicksoncityambulance.com
